FACT or MYTH
KNOWLEDGE · EVIDENCE · CRITICAL THINKING
Plausibility is not evidence
Fact or Myth is a game about judging claims about the world. Choose an answer, read the explanation and compare your intuition with the evidence. The point is not just to get it right, but to see where a convincing story parts company with reality.
PlayHow to play
- Choose a topic or a random category.
- Read the claim and choose Fact or Myth.
- After answering, you can read the explanation. Still unsure? Take a look at the sources if you want to check the answer. Then try another question or topic.
What are the topics?
Physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, geography, thinking, health, society, culture, technology and unusual phenomena. Each topic has its own difficulty level and answer statistics.
Explanations and sources
After you answer, every card includes an explanation and links to sources. You can check both the answer and the conditions that make the claim true. A playful comment responds to your answer; the explanation covers the substance. The game is not a substitute for professional health advice.
Ratings and achievements
Difficulty adjusts separately in each topic based on your answers. You can choose a starting level in Settings. Statistics show your game results, while achievements mark your wins, habits and amusing blunders. Your game rating is not an intelligence test or a measure of professional expertise.
Languages and access
The game is currently free and needs no account. Play in your browser on a computer or phone. English and Ukrainian versions are available, and you can switch languages in the game.
